I had to wait ~10 minutes to enter Charter's online chat when trying to sign up for internet service. From the following chat, it very much seems like I was talking to a bot:

At first, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, and assumed that I was maybe talking to someone following a script. By the end, I was fairly sure that I was talking to either a bot, or a human with such minimal grasp of the English language that they may as well be such. So, why did Charter make me sit around and wait just to chat with a bot?
