I have an Acer Aspire 5720Z with an Intel Pentium Dual Core 1,60GHz, and I have another Intel Pentium Dual Core, but with 2,50GHz. Is it safe to change the processor? It's literally the same processor, but with more clock speed. The Acer website says my laptop supports Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme only, but the Laptop comes with a completely different processor than those options. If something goes wrong, what's the worst it can happen?
