kinda annoyed at my engineering teacher

He keeps arguing things like "headphone jacks are a thing of the past, it's time to innovate" and shit like that, basically he's an apple sheep, but think about it logically, when choosing to ditch a certain technology on a device you need to weigh the pros and cons of removing said device or aspect. Besides "not having to deal with wires" what's the real advantage of wireless? and if that's a big enough deal for you, you should get them, but that doesn't mean it's not good to have a headphone jack for when your power runs out or you forget them, having the two technologies used interchangeably I think is preferable, imo what apple is doing is taking something that's at most a very minor inconvenience and convincing people that it's a leach on their livelihoods, and a problem that must be fixed, and therefore cutting tiny costs and clearing space on the phone (which isn't being used for something else as of yet), they're convincing people that a certain way of doing things is the innovative approach and that we must "get with the times" so to speak, but the pros of having a headphone jack are numerous, I often have my earbuds go dead, and would love to be able to plug some semi cheap decent quality earbuds in and just listen to my music or vids, I really don't mind a wire that much and I don't see why anyone else would hate having a little hole (nice) on their phone to stick earbuds into. I've never owned an iphone tbf, but I think it should be easy to see what they're doing here. They're making their device objectively worse to save marginal amounts of money and convincing people that they should be thankful.
