Older relatives that are somewhat digitally illiterate want to learn. What should they learn?

They're smart, educated, and want to learn. They know email and youtube, but not much else. There's a bit of frustration that they're being left behind. They hear and see all these tech references that they don't understand. One 80 year old just completed a class at her local Apple store. What should they learn so that they feel more comfortable with the tech world that surrounds them? Coding? How to make a web site? Edit: they play games, especially loved Angry Birds
