Safer Mouse Options?

As somebody who spends 10 hours a day, 7 days a week in Autodesk programs, I recently found out that carpal tunnel syndrome is nearly unavoidable for me, especially if I don't change my mouse habits. I was hoping that some people would know of some safer alternatives to my G502 that I use for games and modeling right now that will prevent carpal tunnel syndrome.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by an unnatural wrist motion. If you lay your hand, palm down on something and wiggle it left and right, that is what causes it. Our wrists are meant to move up and down (assuming palm is facing down). Most mice are designed to be used in the unnatural method. Same with keyboards.

I've only found one ergonomic mouse so far that fixes these problems. However, it's very expensive and doesn't have the buttons I need to do 3D modeling. I was hoping to get some advice from the community here and maybe help some other people that are suffering from the same problems that I am. Thanks!
