Looking for whiteboard alternative

my company is looking to buy new "monitors" for our meeting rooms. I was looking for something that has the functionality of a whiteboard (you can use a stylus on a pdf and the changes will be shown on the computer or something like that, kind of like a very like Microsoft surface), we didnt like the fact that a whiteboard is so bulky. edit1- I am aware of the microsoft surface hub, just wondering if there are cheaper alternatives.
