Seeking recommendation for Blogs, Websites, Forums, & General Resources to help my new daily routine of staying up-to-date & informed

Greetings fellow Redditors and Information Gurus!

I have a question to all of you for which I hope to receive an answer. You have never failed me so I have plenty of faith that you all will deliver to me more than efficient and adequate answers. Thanks in advance!

Ok, so I am an autodidact. (For those not sure what this is: au·to·di·dact - a self-taught person.) I'm 29 and am a Web Developer and Internet Marketing, specialist. I have recently moved to learning the programming language JAVA in order to build an Android app as well as maybe some web Applets.

Now apart from the work I do, and my own personal academic studies I partake in, I feel disconnected from everyone and everything. I am also an introvert. I do not believe I need to explain what being an introvert means to you all. What I would like is a way to start staying connected. This does not have to be direct person to person communications or anything of this nature. I did however just start using IRC and plan to use it to essentially keep an open line to the world while I'm at my computer or while it's on in general. If that makes any sense.

Ok, so now I will get into the question that I have for you all. I am very interested in staying up-to-date regarding specific fields and certain things. That being said, what I would like, is to have a SMALL list of the TOP blogs, Forums, Online Magazines, White Papers, Online News Outlets, etc. This way when I get on my computer each morning and get ready for work that day I can spend my first hour or so reading and getting caught up with new trends in all the industries I work in, if anything happened the day or night before, if Google changed or updated an algorithm that will affect my sites, and things like that.

Ideally, I would like to have no more than 5 resources (websites essentially) that I can open up each morning and get all the information I need pertaining to everything that involves me, my industry, my competition, general information. etc.

Here is what I am interested in: * A Google resource that will keep me updated on ANYTHING that changes in regards to Google's algorithms, the way they rank websites, any SEO mentions, etc. I'm not interested in reading about how the companies stocks are doing that day or who got hired or fired. So anything related to SEO, Google Ranking Factors, and Google Webmasters. * I want to be kept up-to-date on what is going on in the computer world in general. What are the new advancements, any recent hacks, if so by who, in general, what is going on in the computer information systems world. * A Programming resource of a general or generic nature. Nothing language specific. A blog, website, or something that talks any new languages released, updates to languages already out there, exploits, new tips, and tricks, etc. * I can't think of anything else but basically I JUST WANT TO BE KEPT IN THE LOOP AND INFORMED. I have a very bad memory for medical reasons and I have to work 10 times as hard to remember things when learning them. This has also kept me from keeping my self in the loop. But I want to be informed. I want to know what people are talking about, and more importantly, I want to know what I AM talking about.

So with all of that being said please feel free to list to me some as many of your favorite resources and news sites, blogs, forums, and more for getting information about and keeping a person updated on current tech events and news. To give you some more additional ideas of what you might want to link to me: I'm an Internet marketer and I love it. I love web development, I love programming and building stuff. And I love to know what's going on in the tech world in general.

I look forward to seeing your answers and as always, thanks in advance and have a great day!

Regards, DeveloperDan

TL;DR - I'm an Internet marketing specialist and web developer. I want to start adding a new routine to my day. I will spend an hour every morning before work getting my self-updated on whats going on in all the areas I am interested in. SEO, Google, Internet Marketing, Programming, Web Development, and general computer literacy.
