Cable Management

For lack of a better space to put it.... I enjoy the sub battlestations. It's always fun to see what folks have come up with. The one question I keep seeing pop up is suggestions for cable management. If you are starting from scratch, my favorite desk is simply 2 ends (alex drawers work great) with a countertop on it. This gives you more space and color choices. You will need to drill several holes for desk grommets. To do this, flip the top over and drill from the bottom. Put some masking or gaffers tape on the laminate side as extra protection. Drill a starter hole about 2 inches in. This will give you enough space for your holes without cracking the top. Use a hole saw (I recommend Disson Remgrit) equal to the base of the grommet. Push down straight and slowly. Once you have your holes, take some pvc (1.5" diameter should do), measure lengths from grommet to grommet. Mount with brackets from the hardware store. Now flip the top over, run cables thru holes and feed thru pvc. A neat presentation without much bother or expense
