Does the US really have data caps? Why would they do that? From my experience the only plans to get data caps are mobile, and even those are going away... How bad is it to have a data cap on your Internet? I live in the Netherlands and we have pretty cheap Internet and absolutely no data caps, never seen anything about a limit of the amount of Internet usage anywhere... Why do they still keep it when competitors in other countries don't? EDIT: I've just looked and it seems like our provider (kpn) doesn't even advertise that they don't have data caps. And in the terms of service it doesn't say anything about it
