A couple of questions about the HomePod/Siri

With the release of the HomePod, and me being somewhat of a fan of Apple (yeah, sue me), I was interested in picking up maybe the 2nd or 3rd gen. However, after reading the reviews I've found, although it sounds incredible, there is a lack of Spotify support (bummer).

Now as I first saw it, it seemed like Apple were being a bit douchey not having support for third-party media players. However, a personal experience showed that you can in fact control Spotify with Siri, but only for play/pause, next/previous track and volume. You can't ask Siri to find a specific song on Spotify for premium users. You can't ask her to play a certain genre, mood, playlist on Spotify. I finally learned that there is a thing known as SiriKit for developers, which allows Siri to perform tasks on their apps.

This leads me to my questions: -Is it Spotify who are supposed to integrate Siri with their app? -Is Apple not allowing other developers to use Siri for their media players? -What is the likelihood of expanded Siri support coming to Spotify in the near future?
