I’m currently scanning my mac for viruses (for the first time), and I noticed something peculiar.

You know how it tells you how many files it has scanned? Well, the apparent number of files in my system keeps increasing, making the process stand completely still. Is this some sort of virus or malware? Please, I really need an answer.
