(Don't know if this is the right place, but) Looking for eye-tracking and/or text-to-speech options for my mother

My mother has MSA (a neurodegenerative disorder you can think of as kind of like Parkinson's) and is continuing to have a harder and harder time speaking or using fine motor skills such as typing. I tried some googling on both eye-tracking software as well as Microsoft accessibility options for text-to-speech but it's kind of all either over my head or I just don't know if it would help. My dad went to an Accessibility Expo and found a computer program (don't know the name) but it was $15,000.

Does anybody here know what more affordable options are out there for this kind of support? Or, if not, can maybe point me to a more applicable subreddit?
