Potentially I am completely misunderstanding, but I have been wondering why we even need to bother with a wifi connection everywhere these days. Out phones do not need it, why cant I pay for a 4g connection for myself and give the network the MAC (I think!) address of each device I use and they all connect to 4g instead of to wifi.
Would save wifi deadspots and needing to buy mesh wifi extenders and boosters.
My 4g connection is around 10x faster than my wifi connection it just got me thinking.
