Question: How much credibility should I give a "hacked email dump?" Separate from political interpretations, how accurate can we count on such a leak being?

First, I would assume that an entire email can be removed from a hacked group of emails, without anyone being able to tell after the public dump. Am I right?

I am unclear if a particular sentence or word can be changed within an email and go undetected.

Or to ask another way, what would it take after the hack, to know to know if an email had been altered?
