I noticed today that my laptop, when shut down, speeds up its fans every 30 minutes or so. The fans go for 5 seconds then turn off again. It hasn't happened to me before. It can't be windows updates every 30 minutes, the laptop is POWERED OFF. (it is plugged to the wall). I'm afraid it's some sort of a CPU farm which uses my CPU and the fans start automatically after a certain temperature has been reached.
