Hi,
I have two teenage boys and no mater how hard I try to block content, they always find a way around. Vpn etc.
I'm fairly IT savy, I don't want to install any software on their phones. But I would like to see the traffic that's going through my router. Just basic domain names and IPs.
I was thinking about setting up my own DNS server and assigning it using DHCP. I would like to have a live view of what IP/domains are requested in real time. That way atleast, I can speak with the eldest and ask why he needs to use a VPN,
I don't want to ban, but would like to know if any possible illegal tor etc traffic is going through our family router.
I was thinking about installing Bind DNS but I would really like a live GUI of what is being requested.
I don't want to inspect packets just to know domains and IPs.
Is there software that can help me.
Its hard being a dad, I don't want to remove all access, but have a high level overview what traffic is passing through our family router.
Aprechiate the help.
These are good kids, but still need some guidance...
