Best 3rd Gen Used Laptop Workstation.
Hello there!
I want to buy a workstation laptop. The budget I have is 400$, used 3rd Gen is probably what I will get (yes, I went through the market). I will need a Nvidia Quadro 2000(or faster) since I use Adobe suite (Ps, Ai, Pr & Ae) with 16 Gb RAM. Dell Inspiron, HP Elitebook W series and Lenovo Thinkpad W series are some names I went through while searching.
Now,my question is which one is better and why?

Possible? Mother app communicating with phone, pc, car, smart home, watch, arduino, etc. Help!
hey everyone!
This has been a dream of mine for a long time, but I'm not quite sure where to start. And I know that much of this has likely been thoroughly explored, but bear me for not finding it in one place yet :) Basically, I am slowly working toward building a smart mobile home (and potentially mobile workshops) with all sorts of crazy stuff that communicate with a central program; which would, like apple stuff, sync across multiple devices, but of separate operating systems and sub-controllers like arduino. Yeah I know, just another "Jarvis". But I mean a real, real Jarvis which monitors and regulates whatever I connect it to, and relays relevant data back. I'd like to think that I could do that by: -throttling an opensource AI to learn specific things, datamine -exporting data from each device to a mother app with a custom "translator" for each one if necessary, which communicates with AI Can anyone walk me through some fundamentals here? Like, scripting, packets, whatever it is; I'm pretty ignorant :/ I GREATLY appreciate any solid input here. I'm counting on the generosity of fellow crazies :)

I mean, of course new cool tech do become commercially available from times to times, but not nearly as often as one might expect.

Have you ever learned about a specific method to innovate on a specific idea or problem and then applied it? Did you feel that it helped? What were the outcomes?
I am interested in learning whether you have learned some "textbook" innovation, problem solving or design approach (e.g. fishbone diagramming, design thinking, many others...). How did you find out about it? What made you decide to use it? Do you feel that it worked? My motivation: So much is written about innovation but it's not clear to me who really learns about it and whether these researched innovation approaches work.

I work for Best Buy and is it just me or is it obvious that most if not all guys who by the VR headsets are buying it for VR porn.
Just wondering if other employees that sell headsets feel this. I've been selling a lot of the headsets recently and it seems that it's mainly men and most seem like they aren't using it for games. When we ask them what are they will be using it for most get flustered especially if a female worker asks. It's funny sometimes to see them get awkward. I could just think that too because I got into the VR stuff too and I know the first thing I did (and still do lol) when I got my headset.

Question: I'm making a baseball pitching simulator. What radar gun should I buy?
Hello,
I'm working on a video game to increase kid's pitching skills. I need just one thing to move forward. Which is the most affordable radar gun that would auto detect a baseball without pulling a trigger and give usb output to a laptop?
I can then use the numbers for my video game I'll write.

Sure, your office may seem clean. But it’s probably not. Invisible network pollution contaminates space, & it may open a door to evildoers. Pollution comes from growing list of internet-connected devices: cellphones, security cameras, thermostats, door locks, speakerphones, even coffeemakers.

Can I locate someone by phone number??
***Please help! This is a desperate situation!
Hello tech friends,
After being robbed of my wife's surgery fund, the people that were living in our house were asked to leave. One of our roommates' ex-boyfriend owes us $50 that we lent him. He now continually promises to pay us back, but ignores us day of. We allowed all of them into our home when they had nowhere else to go(this guy in particular was sleeping in his truck), and we were completely taken advantage of. Their actions, in all, cost us over $2,500 of money that we couldn't afford to lose. Now we are struggling to pay for food while coming up with the surgery fund.
I need to locate this guy as soon as possible. This is NOT for any violent confrontation at all. I know if it's in person, he will pay us back. I just don't know how to find him. Is there anyway at all to locate him from his phone number??
Thanks in advance!

Weird Internet Speeds, any theories?
This morning stuff was loading incredibly fast, so I tested the internet speed on beta.speedtest.net and got over 100Mbps, which is 2x faster than the highest internet speed I've seen at my house. I couldn't believe it so I did more tests on 3 more websites(fast.com, AT&T, and Verizon) and got over 100 on the 3 tests I did for each website(one was 100.68 if you don't count that as over 100) To my knowledge internet speeds this fast are only on military bases. I don't know what might be causing this and I would be interested in hearing other people's theories. Evidence: http://ift.tt/2km5e7e

There's this guy at my school that I thought was my friend and I made a YouTube channel and then when other people at my high school started talking about it he started his and he also started disliking all of my videos and then I said we should collaborate so we did but when we did he took my phone and changed all my videos titles it "Hacked by (his channel name)" and he texted a bunch of my friends and said to a bunch of girls if they want to fuck, to send nudes, and other stupid things and some of them are still mad at me and I have a plan to what I'm going to do once I get into his account but I only know one of his security questions is there anyway that I could get into his google account

Russians save people's lives in USA
They found the way how to save people's lives in USA. If you live in Nevada, Arizona, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, South Dakota, Hawaii and Kentucky, you more than likely have water that safe to drink. If you live in the other 42 states, you are in danger. Russians invented the world's first gadget that determines the nitrate content and the radiation level in food and water in real-time. Data caps in US?
Does the US really have data caps? Why would they do that? From my experience the only plans to get data caps are mobile, and even those are going away... How bad is it to have a data cap on your Internet? I live in the Netherlands and we have pretty cheap Internet and absolutely no data caps, never seen anything about a limit of the amount of Internet usage anywhere... Why do they still keep it when competitors in other countries don't? EDIT: I've just looked and it seems like our provider (kpn) doesn't even advertise that they don't have data caps. And in the terms of service it doesn't say anything about it

Accidentally Received Limited Ed. Rose Gold Oppo F1s in Australia
I recently purchased the Oppo F1s in Gold at JBhifi, it even is labelled 'gold' on the packet. However, the phone inside is definitely PINK. I could just return it and get the gold version I wanted, however, I'm wondering what's going on here. I haven't seen the rose gold version for sale anywhere in Australia and it seems quite rare. Wondering if I should sell it on ebay to make a profit. Anyone have any idea? The only other rose gold F1s I've seen for sale on ebay has a dual sim, this one however doesn't.

Ask Tech: Bluetooth to Track an Object's Movement
My friend has an innovation expo kinda project where we design and possibly produce things we think will be useful. My friend wants to make a bluetooth object that can be attached to another object to measure its movement such as the swing of a softball bad or the throw of a football. What would be used to do the "tracking" portion? I believe that on the app side there would need to be a way to connect to the gadget, start recording movement, and playback how it moved.

Can I take a button from a Nintendo 3DS and put it in a New Nintendo 3DS XL?
I think my New Nintendo 3DS's B button is about to break. I have a Nintendo 3DS that I don't use and that has a working B button. Is there a way to use that old B button as a replacement for the new but broken one?

Help ?
Hey I need some help regarding my PC air circulation. The PC case, which is called Deepcool Tesseract, has 6 total spots for fans; 2 on top, recommended for air output, 2 on the glass side panel, which I do not want to use because I like being able o see through it, but they are recommended for air intake, and 1 on both the front and back of the pc, back recommended for output and front for intake. I have 6 total fans plus a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO for CPU cooling. I have 2 deepcool fans that came with the case, 3 Corsair 120AF Quiet edition fans, and 1 ThermalTake Riing 12 fans, which have an included cord that lowers noise and RPM. I also have 10 extra dust filter fan add ons that I'm planning on attaching to all the intake fans. What's you guys' take on what the best airflow configuration would be?

So is MIT an actual university or is it just a private college?
Wikipedia says it is a "research university". So does this mean that kids who go there are getting a four year degree or what? I've just always been curious.

need remote access software! please help
I'm currently using my mobile device to access my laptop running Windows 8.1 via the Chrome Remote Desktop app/teamviewer. It works fine, however I find it not user friendly having to drag my finger across the screen - in order to move the cursor - when interacting with my computer and coupled with the lag it becomes tedious.
Is there a software that can allow me to simply tap on my phone screen and it will send a mouse click to that location without having to drag the cursor there in the first place?
