Please help

What do you call and hdmi splitter that performs this function.

Xbox and hdmi connected to tv1. Ps4 connected to tv2. Splitter is able to swap Xbox to tv2 and ps4 to tv1 without having to change the hdmis every time

Need to know how to search for one of these if they exist haha any guidance would be great

With great power comes great responsibility – but will tech companies accept it?

In The Amazing Spider-Man, a young Peter Parker is coming to grips with his newly-acquired powers. Spider-Man in nature but not in name, he suddenly finds himself with increased reflexes, strength and extremely sticky hands. 

Unfortunately, the subway isn’t the controlled environment for Parker to awaken as a sudden superhuman. His hands stick to a woman’s shoulders and he’s unable to move them. His powers are doing exactly what they were designed to do, with creepy, unsettling effects.

Spider-Man’s powers aren’t amazing yet; they’re poorly understood, disturbing and dangerous. As other commuters move to the woman’s defence, shoving Parker away from the woman, his sticky hands inadvertently rip the woman’s top clean off. Now his powers are invading people’s privacy.

A fully-fledged assault follows, but Parker’s Spider-Man reflexes kick in. He beats his assailants off, sending them careening into subway seats and knocking them unconscious, apologising the whole time. 

Parker’s unintended creepiness, apologetic harmfulness and head-spinning bewilderment at his own power is a useful metaphor to think about another set of influential nerds: the technological geniuses building the ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’.

Sudden power, the inability to exercise it responsibly, collateral damage and a need for restraint – it all sounds pretty familiar when we think about ‘killer robots’, mass data collection tools and genetic engineering. 

This is troubling, because we need tech designers to, like Spider-Man, recognise (borrowing from Voltaire) that “with great power comes great responsibility”. My Ink'd wireless ear buds are having some issues. First, when I charge them until the led is blue then go to use them it refuses to connect no matter I do. I've tried a reset I've tried turning it on and off, I've tried pretty much everything. Then when I put it back on to charge the led is red again. The lights mainly blink red and blue. How do I fix this?

Tablet Suggestions

Looking at a new tablet for my GF this Christmas. The iPad Pro has caught my eye as did the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. But the prices of those two seem to be steep for what she needs and would use. The main use of the tablet with be music cutting and editing along with media consumption. Anything around $400 that’s comparable.

Also a detachable keyboard that fit in that budget would be awesome but not 100% necessary. Thanks in advance!

Where can i get this device ?

I want to workout in my gym or outdoors with my bluetooth headset on my head without packing my 6.4 inch phablet in my pocket. Ideally a watch would solve this, and it does to some extent. But im now coming from Galaxy watch, gear 2 pro, forerunner 645 music and most recent ticwatch pro. The story repeats it self, battery life takes one serious hit when using the watch for music to the headset. They all suffer massive 40-80% battery drain from a 2 hour workout. Is there any gadget, small little mp3 player, a headset with storage, something that can make this thing effortless? Mp3 feels like a step back, and i allready own a couple of expensive headsets so yeah . What do you think?

Everyone, I'm trying to help my Uncle. Hes stationed in South Korea for the next year and isnt able to watch american television on his computer. He has the Dish Anywhere App but he says SK has blacklisted Dish. Hes tried VPNs but says they perform so slow it cant buffer any football games which is the main thing he wants to watch. How does that Shadow cloud service work?

They claim it's basically a gaming computer on a cloud that you can access from mobile devices, tablets, other computers etc. You can apparently run battlefield 5 on it, but I don't see how it can possibly work.

Does it work by streaming the image to your computer? If so, wouldn't there be a big delay on it, making the games unplayable?

Question!! About google hone

Ok, so i have a custom built PC. Didn’t put a WiFi card in it because at the time it wasn’t necessary. Full disclosure I’m not too much into computers I just needed a strong one for work, and have some friends who have built their own so essentially, my biggest role was swiping my card at micro center.

Now on to my question, could i control Cortana using my google home device ? The pc is connected to internet via Ethernet.

Hi, I'm a Playstation 4 player. Usually I use one USB slot for charging my controller, and another for my microphone. Whenever I do want to play keyboard and mouse, I cant talk in game and I have to use Discord instead (most of my friends don't have Discord). I've been looking for a wireless gaming USB wireless keyboard and mouse for a while now but I can't find anything. Something's wrong

I'm maybe on the wrong subreddit but when I was plugging in my computer (cause I switched rooms and had to bring my computer to a another room) then I opened the pc after plugging everything including the monitors, then I heard a spark or a "Zzzaat" so I turned it off immediately then tried it again but without the pc connected to the avr to test out if the avr works turns out it doesnt, so I tried connecting it to my wall and again I heard and saw a spark coming from the backpanel of my tower. But I tried turning on the pc before plugging everything else and it worked and the time I plugged in the monitors the incident happened. Anyone can help?

Guys, I'm having a bit of an issue. So, I have this network adapter the name is: Realtek And I think this is the adapter, but if I connect to Internet on my pc, It connects to the Internet but then there's an issue, I don't what is happening but it doesn't disconnect but kind of stops working, for example on discord if I'm in a call wth a friend, it will stop working, I can still hear my friend but he can't hear me I'm looking for help...

What job can you get besides programmer

Obviously tech is known for its programmers and engineers. People that tend to do very well in programming and engineering tend to have a high IQ.

For someone who has an average IQ (100) and would still like to be a part of tech as it will still be a growing industry, what jobs can such a person do.

Something that’s still somewhat technical but not as high level as programming.

Wtf my internet keeps dropping out.

I use TPG. An Australian telco (isp). I only get 1.7MBp/s max but thats ok. Im fine w that. But what im not fine is the constant dropouts im facing. Its actually retarded. In the middle of my online gaming sessions, it just cuts on me and i have to wait 5 minutes for my router to reconnect. Stupid! I once asked the guys to come along to fix it. All they did was make it not crash for that 1 day. Wtf! Help! My router is fine btw

I am browsing for a phone (I'm gravely serious, PLEASE HELP).

It needs to be unlocked as my service is Straight Talk, contain 18 (but preferably 32 GB) built-in storage, I strongly prefer android OS and honestly virtual voicemail would be nice. Shopping for anything be it a piece of tech or some other item I almost never am confident when I try to buy online. I've heard "read the reviews" but rarely is anything a solid 4 stars much less 5. There are always those two and one star reviews that make me question the quality and investment of the product (I just become incredibly cautious. This has become a major problem as I have been wanting a new home pc and tablet but have yet to settle on ANY choices -- UGH) -- so unless I am purchasing a video game or movie I typically I avoid shopping via the internet. I also care about stability, flaws (battery overheating, fragile screen) and fail rates. Oh and specs as well as processing speed and power that is comparable to current phones (as much as possible). One last point is I do not have the most generous budget. I could save money for a few months and buy a phone in the 300 range at the most, just keep that in mind. I'd prefer around 260 or less. I don't need finger print readers or face recognition -- just a phone that is reliable, decent and has customization options. Many thanks in advance, I was not sure where to post my inquiry. AI medical centres

This is a fantastic result from technology. The assistance that technology has provided in the medical field is unprecedented. The more advanced tech I feel only applies to the rich though.

If this is the tech that will be used for patients and treatments imagine what we could achieve further down the line. With enough research we could potentially have our minds live on after we pass, in a virtual setting.

Can't seem to find the right headphones. Open to suggestions.

I'm looking for headphones that will essentially be loud enough to rape your eardrums, whilst delivering good clarity and base. With decent sound cancellation. With a budget of £150-£250.

So far I've bought the Bose QuietComfort 35 II for £330. Not worth the money, quickly got returned. Don't buy them.

Also bought the Sennheiser HD 4.50BT Wireless for £150. They were no louder than the Bose headphones. They were the same audio quality, but with shitter sound cancellation.

Others I bought are the Soul Impact OE Wireless for £80. The cheapest ones have so far been the best. But build quality was bad. They broke in less than a year and I never left the house with them. Something presumably came loose inside.

So I've tried 3 different products at 3 different price points and no real luck. What headphones do you suggest? Ideally wireless and no ear buds. Thanks!

Any added input delay on a device that is wired but can be used as bluetooth?

I was planning on buying a non-display tablet for drawing and testing it out for OSU, I came across the Wacom Intuos Medium With Bluetooth which can be connected using either cable or bluetooth. There is a non-bluetooth version of it as well for cheaper (but only in small version).

My question is, If I turn off the bluetooth and play it wired (medium version) will there be any increased input lag than playing it wired without having bluetooth on the device at all (small version) ?

Lets say the small version with no bluetooth at all gives 10 ms delay, If I test it with the medium version but wired and bluetooth disabled, will it still give 10ms delay or will it give more?

Could the government ever reel back or alter the way we use technology for the sake of bettering society?

There are many pros and cons to the current state of our technology and the ways in which it connects us. From the Internet, to social media, to smart phones, there is no doubt we are becoming evermore connected. My concern is that many of these technologies are too infantile to fully grasp the implications on society long-term. Particularly mental health, social well-being, and a sense of community are being affected by our current tech. If the government deemed that the long-term negative effects of such connectivity were largely negative, could something be done about this? Maybe there is a way to highlight the pros and limit the cons. I have some optimism that things will get better, we just have to figure it out. What are your thoughts?

Is there a service that I can get that provides internet and doesn't require anyone coming to install anything and only involves going to a store and buying a device and turning it on, like a hotspot but no cell service contract?

I'm moving and had to disconnect my internet to entering into another 6 month contract.

The idea is great that it will deter the police from abusing a technology to spy on people, but I think now it will be a 2-way abuse. Criminals may now use this to get away from being caught. It can help bring about awareness and change, but in the end, like most things I guess, the type of change whether good or bad will depend on the people using the technology.

I'm trying to win an argument against one of my friends. I'm sure that all TVs can display 50/60 Hz, but my friend is sure that he's seen TVs whose display has been limited to 25/30 Hz. Who is right?

Why does everyone shit on apple

Apple is far from the only company that overcharges for products with less features manufactured from a Chinese sweatshop with suicide nets. So why the hate?

If anything, Apple is probably one of the more virtuous of the big tech companies. They actively refused to unlock a person's phone when asked by the FBI because they care about security and people's rights to phones. Meanwhile Facebook is content with selling private data to and influencing the masses for whatever organization that pays.

I know this isnt very tech, but im not sure where to go. I have trued to delete my info and account from google via phone for sometime with no luck. My computer is down and all i have to do so is my phone. Can someone send me a link with instructions or anything to help. I dont have or remember old password. Also google, by itself linked my newer email to my old one and a google account which i never wanted. It also does not let me log out of the google account which i never wanted to be connected to

battery charger at Wal-Mart it's supposed to be 10,400mAh

I got a new portable battery charger at Wal-Mart it's supposed to be 10,400mAh. My LG battery is 1,800mAh. The smart phone is a low engergy use phone.

First, the battery is struggling to charge my phone when I'm using it for messanger (im considering switching to the tablet port, which I think will charge faster). The portable battery is already at 12% It drained pretty fast yet hasn't really changed my phone. In the amount of time it's dropped to 12% Ive probably used less than 500mAh and so it should have charged my phone 4 times over.

A machine learning game I've been working on...

Wasn't sure where to post this as I'm still working on it but wanted to put it out there to get any useful feedback or thoughts from the experts. It's basically a game similar to 20 Questions (or Animal, Vegetable, Mineral) that attempts to ask you questions to work out an object you are thinking about. You can think of everyday items (animals, household objects, food, quite a bit of other stuff etc) and it has 30 questions to try and guess the item. I've been working on it for a while but not sure what to do next so interested to hear anyone's thoughts...
