Can someone with knowledge on the subject explain to me the faults and usual conspiracies about the Google Home stuff?

Just got the Google Home Mini from using Spotify Premium, and I’ve usually heard some FBI spying types of shit in the conversation.

Is there any merit in listening to these stories or should I take my tinfoil hat off?
