Hey all!
I’m trying to figure out to the best way to hook up wireless Bose headphones at my in-laws but it seems like I don’t have enough outputs.
The current set up:
Panasonic Tv; (Not Bluetooth compatible) HDMI input Optical output Red/white audio inputs USB ports
Satellite box; Optical port Red/white Audio inputs No HDMI as it’s so old, but they’ll be getting a new one so it will have an HDMI port
Bose surround sound; Optical input Audio red/white input.
They got a transmitter for wireless Bose headphones. It has an optical input and an audio input.
I can get everything working including headphones as long as they’re watching satellite. Here comes the issue.... when they want to watch Netflix, the headphones continue to play satellite tv sound, probably because Netflix is coming from the smart tv, and the optical output is going to the surround sound receiver. The transmitter for the headphones is receiving an input from the satellite box (I probably should include the headphones require a Bluetooth transmitter because the tv isn’t Bluetooth compatible).
Is anyone able to offer some advice as to what I need to do to get it all working in sync the easiest way?
Appreciate the help
