I have a LaCie Rugged Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 with 1 Tb of storage.
I’d use it exclusively on Macs but accidentally formatted it using the exFAT system.
I’ve tried reformatting it to HFS+ but it states that I only have 400mb of space now and have no idea why.
Can someone please help me out here?

I don't know if this is a fine place to post this (if not, let me know and i'll move it), but I was wondering, what is the highest resolution image you know of? I figured it'd be a quick Google search away and it would spit out the world record holder, but nope.
So far I've found a image that is 27,184 by 16,995 (So, like nearly 500mp, don't know how it's possible haha).
I enjoy viewing them on my 4k displays and zooming around them.
Anyone know of anything with a higher resolution than that??

What if, seriously now, what if the size of the card and the internal components are identical to the original 2gb size from years ago. And they just keep updating programming of devices to utilize them differently. Like each one is identical except they are encoded to be a 2gb or 128gb or whatever size they want to market and sell. I may not be completely on the right track here but I wonder how something so small seemed to change the way these have over the years.

I'm looking at the LG 55SJ850V, and the 800V. From what I've read they're practically identical apart from audio and stand. I use headphones so audio is not a big deal, and was going to save myself €150 and buy the 800V, but I much prefer the stand on the 850V.
Then I started looking at pictures of the back of the two Tv's and noticed that the 800V seems to have a slot for the 850V stand to attach? It's quite possibly something else entirely, but they look very similar. I'll attach photos to try and explain.

I just purchased a Lenovo Yoga 710 14", and the wireless connection is pretty bad at work, so they recommended I use a wired ethernet connection. Problem is, the Yoga has no ethernet (wired internet) port so I am forced to use a USB Ethernet Adaptor.
I've searched for products but am yet to find one which has solid reviews and popular.

This is going to sound like a real nooby post I'm sure but I need it answering. So... I have a 4k hdr Panasonic tv, an Xbox One X and some blu rays. Should the Xbox one x and my tv upscale blu rays to 4k from 1080p? The reason I ask is I end up with the picture not being the full size of the screen. Why is this and what can be done settings wise to sort it?
Everytime I call my wife on my Moto she cannot hear me but we can speak through social media, I hate doing that though. Bluetooth doesn't seem to override it either. There are two others with the same phone (S7) and nother one can hear me when I call. Very weird, if anyone knows how to fix this issue or knows anything please help! LOL
I have a hard drive for my Wii, to run backups from homebrew. It suddenly stopped working, and whenever it was plugged into the Wii, nothing homebrew related would work. I plugged it into my computer, and I can't access it, and I get an error in device manager called "Device descriptor request failed" with an error code 43. Does anyone know how to fix this?

A friend and I want to build those lamps that light up when the other touches it. I want to make it so that it lights up no matter where you touch the lamp and not just a button you press. Is there a way to do this without using multiple touch sensors?
Also, it would be really cool if we could make it brighter the harder you press on the lamp. So I would need a sensor that's not just a button I guess.
I have an xbox one s, and i have a TV that supports 4k and HIgh dynamic Range. Everything is fine great colours and detail for normal things but when i play a game the white turns into gray and its so annoying.

I need help with connecting to a server when i am not in the same network as the server itself. I already got the VPN working on my FRITZ!BOX 7490, so i can connect to it when i am on the road. Now i want to connect to a server that is in the network of the FRITZ!BOX.
What is the best solution? SMB, FTP (insecure?)? please help me!!! The server is a OS X server by the way, and we are mostly using Macs.

Hi everyone, I'm constantly breaking micro USB cables. I have a Moto X style (2015) and the only "reliable" charger that I had was the original one. Once it broke, I had to buy more than 6 cables in about one year of usage. I bought a portable turbo charger and the cables that came with it only lasted for one week.
I normally left my phone charging, without using it or moving the cable. I remove them correctly (not pulling the cable itself) and noticed that every cable (including the original one) doesn't fit properly.
I bought cheap and original ones (Moto, Sony, etc) and neither of them seems to last at all. I read in another posts that they tend to break easily and found some alternatives (fix it with bobby pins, moving the cable in different angles, etc) but finally they don't charge at all.
The only two ideas I had is using a magnetic cable adapter or adapting the phone for wireless charging. Taking into account that this two methods doesn't need constant plugin directly to the phone port, I suppose that the connector on the cable won't worn out rapidly as is happening. I would like to know if this two methods would solve this issue.
My phone has 3 years of usage and it's the only problem I have encountered. I've read and tried a lot of solutions, but they finally won't last. Also, I don't want the phone port to break because of these "solutions" and can't buy a new phone in about a year or so.

Hey all. I was recently debating on whether to purchase a new modem + router. I’m currently with Comcast and I am renting a Netgear TG1682G from them. Taking into consideration how I’m paying them $11 a month to use it, I thought it may be best if i went ahead and saved money long term, but also see if it was worth the actual upgrade in hardware.
My current speeds are of about 100 mbps. Great speeds, but I do some online gaming (console, wired in) and sometimes noticed slight delay when playing (mainly FIFA). I am not the most savvy when it comes to this, but i know the basics and from my reading have heard that the C7000 is very good for gaming. Now, my question, is it worth to upgrade to a new one from the current one i have? From what I’ve researched it doesn’t seem like a terrible equipment for being rented. Its a Docsis 3.0, and I’ve read those devices are best right now, it provides dual band 2.4 and 5 ghz, and I’m pretty sure it was issued to me new.
So, worth it to upgrade? Will it make a notable difference? And if so, is the Nighthawk the best way to go or is if overkill, and if so, what would be the next best option?

Hello fellow Techies, I need to know, if theres any kind of "private dropbox"? I work at a office with ca. 10 coworkers, and we are using a OSX-Server (mostly Apple Computers in office) and sometimes dropbox aswell, so customers can share files with us.
So the question is, if theres any kind of server which we can use within the office, but also give "guest access" to certain directories to our customers, so we do not have to use dropbox anymore (WeTransfer or anything like it, is not a solution). Any help is very welcomed.

I am ditching monthly TV services after nearly 15 years and I’m anxious to get a nice adapter (or 2) for my televisions at home. I had a chromecast a few years back and it broke which was discouraging, my daughter has a roku tv which I think is pretty fantastic but I’m also a fan of amazon products, needless to say I’m overwhelmed by the number of options - there are several just roku options. So next month I'll be getting a new phone and for the past 2 years I've been an Android fanboy with my S7 Edge shunning all iPhone's and talking about all the bad things that come with them, and I'm asking your help to choose my next phone. Instinctively I was going to get another Android like the Google Pixel 2 or the Galaxy S8, but I had the idea run through my mind that it may not be a bad idea to get an iPhone. I thought this because my last iPhone was the 4 and I figured maybe I should at least have one before I talk about how bad they are and I already have a fully functional S7 Edge. I leave you with this question, should I stick to my Android phones because of how much I already know I love them, or take a risk by getting an iPhone to have the best of both worlds?

Been wondering about this for a while now. I have a pretty beefy desktop running almost 24/7 streaming Plex to my entire family and I spend a lot of time outside of my desktop mostly using my phone or laptop. Is there a way to lend some computing power to one another? If not, why's so and could it be a possibility in the future? Why can't we just connect a thin pretty tablet to a server to process all this data via internet? It's already 2018 and it shouldn't be that unthinkable, no?
As you can tell from the title either I really enjoy backing up, I'm paranoid or both lol. So I have/had a silicon power 1TB drive where I store compressed backups of my backups. Well it failed so I cracked that sucker open and found a 2.5 SATA Toshiba 1 TB HDD in it. Browsing on the old interwebs I see I can replace it for like 50 bucks , or I can get a WD black for like 65 ... Or I can do something else ... And no worries my uncompressed backups are still on the backup of my main backup drive. Any thoughts / suggestions ?

I’ve always seen them in certain subreddits, particularly oldpeoplefacebook. I supposed that it was supposed to help people with reading difficulties or even colourblindness but wouldn’t you just be able to read the image. Sorry if I sound really dumb and inconsiderate.
